Collectible Guide

Toolboxes (3TB)

Toolboxes are the most forgiving collectible — 3 per level, found on side routes, and they persist between runs. Miss one this run? It stays collected next time.

What Are Toolboxes?

Toolboxes are mechanical supply crates found along alternate side routes in each level. The dare code 3TB requires finding all 3 per level.

The key feature that makes toolboxes unique: they persist between runs. If you grab 2 toolboxes on one run and bail before the third, your next run starts with those 2 already collected. This makes 3TB the most forgiving dare in the game.

They feed into the Garage between missions as supply resources for train customisation.

Persistence — The Key Rule

Toolboxes Persist Between Runs

Unlike charms and gears which reset if you don't complete the dare in one run, toolboxes stay collected. Grab 1 per run across 3 runs if needed — they all count. This means you can combine toolbox hunting with any other type of run without pressure.

Toolbox Collection Tips

Side Routes, Not Main Line

All 3 toolboxes are off the main track on side routes. They're usually larger and more visually obvious than charms — look for the glowing crate on alternate lane branches.

Grab on Any Run

Because they persist, you can grab toolboxes opportunistically on any run type. Spot one during a trick run? Grab it — it won't reset. No need for a dedicated toolbox run if you're observant.

Usually C-Tier Difficulty

3TB is consistently the easiest dare in every level. Prioritise it first when doing a fresh level to get easy dare completion ticked off early.

Spread Across the Track

The 3 toolboxes are spread throughout the level — usually one in the early, middle, and late sections. This means you naturally encounter them across a full run rather than needing to hunt a specific section.

Shin's Testgrounds — Demo Toolboxes

The demo has 3 toolboxes spread across the full track length. All are on clearly visible side routes with no special technique required to reach them. Grab on your first or second run — they'll be there regardless.
